Model 8.28: ANP BOCR - Should the City of Pittsburgh Contribute Funds to Construct a New Hockey Arena? (2001)
Short Description
In the last year, the City of Pittsburgh has experienced a sort of renaissance with the completion of two new stadiums. PNC Park and Heinz Field are the new homes of the Pirates baseball team and the Steelers football team, respectively. In keeping with this momentum of growth in the “entertainment” arena, Mario Lemieux, Pittsburgh’s most famous professional hockey player, has made a personal effort to upgrade the hockey franchise of the Pittsburgh Penguins. This analysis was designed to answer the question of whether the City of Pittsburgh should support such an investment.
