Short Description

This project paper will describe how the software SuperDecision will be used to solve difficult problems by providing a real-life decision problem. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) could help Covestro make the decision. The model takes account different strategic criteria (Growth, R&D, synergies of markets, reputation of the company, differentiation and financials) and weights them against benefits, opportunities, costs and risks (BOCR). Each BOCR contains a subnetwork that consists of economical, operational, organizational and cultural aspects. Each of those subnetworks contain an Analytical Network Process (ANP) model, where pairwise comparisons between connected clusters are made to calculate the priorities. After that, the results are synthesized and a sensitivity analysis is performed.
